About Sarah

Sarah is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and an AFAA Certified Group Exercise Instructor. True fitness means that your body is ready for anything you ask of it- whether you want to be able to leap across the stage, or to climb a flight of stairs without losing your breath. She has a B.A. in Sociology & Anthropology, andhas taken courses in dance, aerobics, and personal fitness training techniques at Hood College, Marshall University, and Boston University.

Sarah has an extensive background as a dancer, dance instructor, and choreographer. Her dance training gives her a thorough understanding of functional anatomy and kinesiology. Her experience as a dance teacher helps her assist clients from all walks of life in developing their own kinesthetic awareness.

Sarah decided to focus on fitness after she suffered a series of dance injuries that left her barely able to walk. During her rehabilitation process, she realized the importance of resistance training in preventing injury, increasing bone density, and balancing the muscles of the body. With the help of physical therapists and strict adherence to a new exercise regimen, she was able to make a complete recovery. Her success inspired her to become a personal trainer and help others discover the benefits of exercise.

Because of her dance background, Sarah specializes in building strong, lean, flexible bodies. She enjoys working with all kinds of clients, from those who are just taking those first steps toward establishing good exercise habits to those who really want to push themselves and discover the amazing potential of the human body. She likes to ncorporate exercises from dance and Pilates into her programs for clients. No
matter how far clients have to go toward their fitness goals, Sarah believes that keeping workouts fun and varied is the key!
